International is a specific event identity

The ISDS navigation distinguishes its International Supreme from the English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh Nationals and from the World Trial. Preserve that distinction in headlines, profile badges and archive searches. A dog described loosely as international champion needs a source identifying the actual competition and category. Similar words in unrelated countries’ event titles are not sufficient grounds for merging their histories or results.

Read the course rules in context

The Society’s Rules for Trials cover its National, International and World frameworks. Start there for formal course and judging requirements, then check the edition’s documentation. A spectator explanation can introduce gathering, driving, shedding and penning terminology without assigning a deduction from an edited clip. The judge’s recorded decision and official result should remain separate from a writer’s interpretation of how an attractive or difficult moment looked.

Selection and performance are different claims

National participation, selection for an international team and an International placing are distinct stages. A biographical account should verify each one rather than infer a complete pathway from a pedigree suffix or promotional description. Retain the edition, handler-dog partnership and category, and state the source that confirms the achievement. If a publication only names a team, do not invent the score or round in which an individual appeared.

Research and spectator navigation

Use the current National and International information page to locate the relevant edition and the archive for older material. A past venue page helps establish history but is not a current visitor notice. For travel, filming or attendance, consult the host’s current information. For publication, preserve original names, distinguish provisional from final results and credit licensed media. This evergreen guide does not supply annual tickets, entry deadlines or an unsourced list of champions.

Common questions

Is an International Supreme title the same as a World Trial title?

No. The Society presents them as distinct competitions, and profiles should preserve the exact achievement.
