Start with eligibility

Find the sections covering the dog’s registration, handler membership, minimum requirements and class progression. Then compare them with the schedule. If they seem inconsistent, contact the secretary with the exact rule reference rather than relying on a forum summary.

Mark the practical rules

Identify permitted equipment, entry and withdrawal procedures, instructions at the start, and reasons a run may end. Distinguish an explanatory drawing from a binding requirement. Keep the rules edition and effective date, because a downloaded older PDF may still appear in search results.

Prepare questions

List uncertainties before paying an entry fee: class eligibility, whether a result qualifies, and how to report an error. Ask the appropriate official rather than trying to settle a dispute beside the course. Store the response with the event paperwork for your own reference.
