Before arriving

Confirm public access, parking, photography conditions and whether dogs may attend. An event listed on a calendar may still have restricted areas or a changed schedule.

At the course

Use designated viewing areas and avoid calling to working dogs or approaching livestock. Ask a steward when it is appropriate to cross a track or move between areas. Keep entrances clear.

Understanding what you saw

Find the class and course information before comparing runs. Ask whether the displayed score is provisional. A quiet, controlled run can be more effective than a visually dramatic one.

Ask before publishing

A ticket or public venue does not automatically settle filming, drone use or commercial image rights. Check the organiser’s conditions and the photographer’s ownership before reposting media. Captions should preserve the dog, handler, event and class where confirmed, while leaving unknown identities unguessed.
