Find the responsible organisation

Begin with the activity you need: a show, a recognised canine sport, farm work or a specialist competition. Use the body responsible for that activity to find current club and event information.

Use the official starting point

Dogs West is listed in Dogs Australia’s state and territory member-body directory. Visit its current website for its own club and activity resources. This guide is a navigation aid, not a claim that every working breed, livestock association or independent event is represented.

Make a useful local plan

Check distances, venue access and after-hours veterinary arrangements before taking a dog on a long trip. A calendar listing does not establish what facilities will be available at the grounds. Save the contact and date checked with your notes, and recheck information before entering or travelling.

Specialist sheepdog resources

The West Australian Working Sheep Dog Association describes affiliated clubs and arena, yard and utility trial activity. Its website is a specialist starting point for that network, separate from Dogs West. Read the discipline label before comparing events: a three-sheep arena result and a yard-and-utility result should retain their own context. For photographs on the association website, observe its explicit notice that permission is required for reuse. Link readers to the source instead of copying a gallery into a new directory.
